Toilet Paper Pumpkins

I’m always amazed at the number of crafts that can be made with tissue paper or empty tissue paper rolls. This Halloween, toilet paper pumpkins are on my craft agenda. They make great classroom decorations, so if your class is having a Halloween party, this is a great craft to create with kids.

You’ll just need to add orange tissue paper, green tissue and raffia. You roll the toilet paper in the orange tissue and then tuck the green inside the hole in addition to a little bit of raffia. Then, let the decorating begin! You have so many options here. You could have the children cutout felt pieces to create the face of the pumpkin. You could also use black sticky foam pieces to make the eyes, nose and mouth jack-o lantern. I cut out black felt pieces just to give the pumpkins a little texture.

Kids can make the toilet paper pumpkins at the classroom Halloween party if you set up a craft station and then take the pumpkins home with them. A group of these on the porch make a great Halloween decoration when kids are trick-or-treating.
